Vertical grain bamboo plywood is made from solid bamboo strips laid on edge and laminated together producing a narrow grain look. Horizontal grain bamboo plywood is manufactured with the wider faces laminated together to form the surface. This method of production shows the "knuckles" characteristic in a bamboo stalk.
